    The 2019 Point in Time (PIT) count will help identify the housing and service needs of the homeless population in Venango County. If you are in a homeless situation come to Hand in Hand Christian counseling at 118 Grant Street in Franklin to talk about your situation and find out about services.   3. Marienville Winterfest

    Marienville Winterfest is a great festival for experiencing the best of a Pennsylvania winter in some of the state’s most beautiful country. Bring the family enjoy some real quality time in this quaint community. Snowmobiles will be treading trails all weekend so bring yours along and enjoy a nice ride. There is an ice skating rink and a sled riding hill that is perfect for tubes. Festival sponsors remind visitors to bring their own equipment. There is even a dance demonstration. The local Cub Scouts sponsors activities for the kids. In the evening there is an impressive snowmobile parade by torch light. The chili cook off is serious soup making and the pastry bake off is sure to delight the taste buds. The event features: two big auctions, raffle, and free-admission bingo. Admission and parking is free.
