Environmental Review Postings

This page contains postings related to the administration of the County's Community Development Block Grant program, which includes Cranberry Township and Sugarcreek Borough, as well as the HOME Investment Partnerships Program for Franklin and Oil City (to be announced). 

This process is regulated on the basis of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) which was enacted in 1970 and is the founding national charter for protection of the environment. The act requires that environmental values be given appropriate consideration in decision-making; therefore, it also ensures that environmental information is available to public officials and citizens before decisions are made and before actions are taken. The associated governing regulations can be found at 24 CFR Part 51, 24 CFR Part 55, and 24 CFR Part 58.

The public is given at least a 10-day comment period on the local-level and then an additional subsequent 15-day objection period with DCED. Click on the postings for full documentation.
